Responsibilities:
- Administer Accounts Payable; organizing, dating, preparing and allocating invoices - Collect, review and allocate weekly timesheets - Working with an outside Payroll Service, assist in processing and posting Payroll - Collect, review, allocate, process and post monthly Credit Card expenses - Process travel reimbursements for staff and board members - Monthly bank reconciliations - Create or update Chart of Accounts, Vendors, Grants and Staff information - Perform data entry and maintain accurate records - Retrieve, prepare and present financial information when requested - Assist with the year-end independent audit
Qualifications:
- one to two years clerical accounting experience; background in office management and administrative assistant preferred.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping is a plus - Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software - Strong mathematical and analytical skills - Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping - Knowledge of accounting principles and practices - Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Employment preference afforded to Native Americans and persons with disabilities Note:
